Members of government forces wounded in Syria’s Daraa
DARAA, Syria (North Press) – A number of the government forces’ members were wounded on Monday in an attack on their military vehicle in the eastern countryside of Daraa.
“About five members of the government forces were wounded in an attack on their military vehicle carried out by unidentified gunmen on the Izraa- Namer Highway, east of Daraa,” a local source told North Press.
“Ambulances arrived at the site of the incident and transported the wounded al-Sanamayn City Hospital, north of Daraa,” the source added.
The area witnessed intense security deployment of members of the security branches of the government forces who began searching for the perpetrators, according to the source.
In recent months, Daraa governorate has witnessed several similar incidents, the most prominent of which was the killing of Major Maher Wassouf, who was affiliated with the Political Security Branch of the government forces, in an attack by unknown assailants on his car near the town of Sayda in the eastern countryside of Daraa.
