Assyrians commemorate Mass on Easter in Syria’s Tel Tamr

TEL TAMR, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, the Assyrian community in Tel Tamr town, northern Hasakah, northeast Syria, performed the Mass- a religious service- following the celebration of the glorious Easter in the church of al-Qedisa in the town.  

On this day, the Christians ask for mercy for the deceased people. The saint hit the heads of the prayers gently after completing the religious hymns.  

On April 18, the    Mass is celebrated every year a day after the Easter Day.

Yesterday, the Christians who follow the western calendar, Syriac Catholics, Chaldeans and Armenians celebrated the glorious Easter. But the Christians who follow the eastern calendar; the Syriac Orthodox celebrated the Palm Sunday.
