Turkey resumes shelling of Syria’s Hasakah countryside
TEL TAMR, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, Turkish forces pounded two towns of Tel Tamr and Abu Rasin (Zarkan) in Hasakah countryside, northeast Syria, with heavy weaponry.
The center of Tel Tamr town was hit with countless shells, with one of them probably dropped on the building of the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) in the town, an eyewitness of Tel Tamr told North Press.
The Turkish shelling hit the vicinity of the following villages al-Asadiya, Nowihat, Dardara, Safa, Boba, and Rabi’at in Zarkan, according to the eyewitness.
As for Zarkan itself, the shells dropped in the middle of the town, according to the source.
The Turkish shelling also targeted the vicinity of the Russian base, Tel Shnan village, Umm Kaif, and Dardara north of Tel Tamr, the source said.
North Press could not verify the rate of the damage nor the number of shells until this moment.
