Turkish forces re-bomb Syria’s Hasakah Countryside

Tel TAMR, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, the Turkish forces and the affiliated opposition factions re-bombed an Assyrian village north of Hasakah, northeast Syria.

The inhabited Assyrian village of Tel Tawil, west of the town of Tel Tamr, was hit with heavy weapons by the Turkish forces,  a source in the Tel Tamr Military Council told North Press.

No information about casualties or material damage has been reported so far.

The same village was bombed earlier today and it was also hit with a barrage of artillery shells yesterday evening, Friday, which resulted in the destruction of a number of houses and extensive damage to the village school.

It should be said that since Turkey and the opposition forces loyal to it invaded the areas of Sere Kaniye and Tel Abyad in 2019, the town of Tel Tamr and its villages have been subjected to continuous bombardment, which resulted in casualties as well as damage to civilians’ property.
