Conflicts parties exchange bombardment in countryside of Syria’s Aleppo, Idlib

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) –On Friday, the de-escalation zone in Idlib and Aleppo, northwest Syria, witnessed renewal of bombardment between the Syrian government forces and the Syrian opposition factions.

The government forces intensified the artillery and missile shelling of the villages and towns of Sfuhun, Kansafra, al-Fatira, Fleifel, Deir Sunbul, Binin and Rwueiha in Zawiya Mountain south of Idlib, military sources in the opposition told North Press.

The government forces also targeted from their sites in Base 46 the villages and towns of Kafr Ta’al, Tuqad and the outskirts of Kafr Nouran in the western countryside of Aleppo, the sources added.

In response, al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations’ Room targeted the government forces’ sites in the two villages of Kafr Mous and Milaja in Zawiya Mountain, military sources in the opposition told North Press.

Although the de-escalation zone in northwest Syria is subject to a Russian-Turkish ceasefire agreement signed in March 2020, the area witnesses frequent mutual bombardment despite the entry of the ceasefire into force.
