In week, Israel targets military points in Syria
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Israel targeted on Thursday at night military sites in the vicinity of Damascus, Syria’s capital, said the official Syrian news agency, SANA.
At about 00:11 PM last night, Israel launched missile attack from the direction of north of Golan, a military source told SANA.
The Syrian army air defenses confronted the Israeli airstrike and dropped some missiles, the source added.
The attack focused on sites in the southern western countryside of Damascus, leaving only material losses, the source added.
There are military sites for pro-Iranian militias and the Palestine Liberation Army among the targeted sites, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (HOHR).
On April 9, Israel launched missile attack that targeted some points in Hama governorate.
Israel periodically targets Iranian-backed military militias in Syria.
During 2021, the SOHR counted 39 Israeli airstrikes targeted Iranian-backed militias in Syria.
