HTS kills two Syrian soldiers in Syria’s Idlib, Russia’s MoD 
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday the death of two Syrian soldiers in an attack launched by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, formerly al-Nusra Front) in the de-escalation zone in Idlib, northwest Syria.
Deputy Head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria, Rear Admiral Oleg Zhuravlov, said, “Two Syrian soldiers were killed and another was wounded as a result of sniper fire conducted by terrorists from Jdar al-Gab at the positions of government troops near the settlement of Dadih,” in the de-escalation zone northwest Syria.
“During the past 24 hours, five shells were launched in the de-escalation zone in Idlib from HTS sites, one towards Latakia, two towards Aleppo and two towards Idlib,” he added.
In early March, the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria announced 12 Syrian soldiers were wounded in shelling and sniping operations carried out by opposition militants in the de-escalation zones.
