Former opposition coalition members describe coalition leaders as unpatriotic
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, a number of the dismissed members from the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces accused the leaders of the coalition of being “an unpatriotic group.”
The dismissed members issued the first press release, under the name: “The Syrian National Coalition – the Reform Movement.”, in which they said “in light of the challenges facing the Syrian issue and the state of coup witnessed by the coalition at the hands of a puppet group, a number of national figures and current and former members were called to work within the framework of the Syrian National Coalition – the Reform Movement.”
This came “with the aim of informing all Syrians, with all their communities and affiliations, of the reality of what is happening, and working together to protect the Syrian revolution from a dangerous coup carried out by an unpatriotic group,” the statement added.
“We promise our people to work on presenting the coalition’s serious reform plans to the Syrian public opinion, exposing the faults and corruption, uncovering the corrupt and unpatriotic people whatever they are, and exposing their actions ,corruption and the sides they are work for,” it added.
On the top of priorities is delegitimizing this group, electing a new national leadership, and informing the Syrian people of the intrigues being hatched through the dependent group, and exposing the attempt to impose suspicious agendas and concessions in the negotiations,” the statement said.
They will reject the unpatriotic group.. and they will expose the corruption that is eating away at the body of the interim government and its inability to carry out its duties towards the Syrian people.
During the past days, the coalition dismissed 18 members and four representatives of local councils were displaced.
