Turkish forces bomb Syria’s Raqqa countryside

AIN ISSA, Syria (North Press) – The countryside of Ain Issa town, north of Raqqa, north Syria, was hit with missiles and heavy weapons by the Turkish forces and Turkish-backed opposition factions on Thursday.

“Turkish forces and opposition factions bombed the villages of Mu’allaq and al-Jadida, Ain Issa camp, and the M4 motorway in the countryside of Ain Issa town,” a local source told North Press.

“Dozens of shells fell on those villages, which are only a few kilometers away from the town of Ain Issa,” the sources added.

“The shells came from the Turkish bases in the villages of Sayda and al-Mu’allaq, west of Ain Issa,” according to the source.

The bombing resulted in material damage to the residents’ property, while a Turkish reconnaissance plane was flying over the town of Ain Issa.

Over the past three days, the northern and eastern countryside of the town of Ain Issa plus the M4 motorway, have been bombed by Turkish forces.

The town of Ain Issa and other areas in northeast Syria are constantly bombed by the Turkish forces and the affiliated opposition factions.
