Turkish-backed faction’s members beat individual in Syria’s Afrin

ALEPPO NORTHERN COUNTRYSIDE, Syria (North Press) – Members of the Turkish-backed faction of Mu’tasim Division attacked, yesterday, a member of al-Bobanna tribe in the city of Afrin north of Aleppo for demanding loans repayment.

Members of the division beat the so-called Abu Saleh Sefira, a member of al-Bobanna tribe and owner of a grocery in the city, because he demanded loans repayment of the division, a local source told North Press.

As a result, fistfight erupted that turned to shooting in front of the shop near the old garage in the city center in order to disperse the crowd, according to the source.

The city of Afrin have been run by the Turkish forces and the affiliated factions since 2018 following a military operation.

Since then, the city and its countryside have been subjected to violations by those factions which follow blackmailing policy and tightening the screw on indigenous people to hold them to flee their lands.
