Turkey bombs inhabited villages of Syria’s Hasakah countryside
TEL-TAMR, Syria (North Press) – The Turkish forces and the Turkish-backed opposition factions bombed on Sunday dozens of inhabited villages with heavy weapons in the countryside of Te-l-Tamr and Abu Rasin towns, north of Hasakah, northeast Syria. As a result a person wounded in the shelling.
“The villages of Tel-Shanan, al-Dardara, Tel-Juma’a, Umm al-Kef, and a number of other villages and farms in the western countryside of Tel-Tamer, were bombed by the Turkish forces,” local sources told North Press.
The outskirts of Abu Rasin town and several villages in its countryside, such as al-Matmoura, Dada Abdel, al-Boubi, al-Safa, al-Rabi`at, al-Asadiya, al-Nuwaihat, Tel-al-Ward and Umm Harmala, were also bombed by the Turkish fprces and the affiliated opposition factions, the sources added.
“Mizar Ali Majboub, from Tel-Al-Ward village was wounded in the bombing by several shrapnel in the head and hand,” according to the sources.
“He was transported to the Martyr Likrin Hospital in Tel-Tamr for treatment, and his condition is stable,” the sources said.
The violent bombardment, in which dozens of artillery and mortar shells were launched, resulted in large damage to the residents’ property.
The countryside of Abu Rasin town also witnessed displacement from the bombed villages towards the safe villages in the area.
Since the Turkish forces and the opposition factions came near the towns of Tel-Tamr and Abu Rasin in late 2019, the villages on the line of contact have been constantly bombed by the Turkish forces and opposition factions, which has resulted in casualties among the residents.
