Gunmen attack government forces’ checkpoint in Syria’s Daraa
DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Unidentified gunmen attacked on Wednesday evening one of the government forces’ checkpoints in the town of al-Maliha al-Gharbiyeh, in the eastern countryside of Daraa.
“Unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle attacked the military checkpoint of the government forces in the town of al-Maliha,” local sources told North Press.
“The members of checkpoint responded by firing randomly in all directions,” the sources added.
“The 52nd Brigade of the Ninth Division of the government forces fired two mortar shells towards the town, causing no casualties,” according to the sources.
In light of the security chaos in Daraa governorate, seven people were killed today, Wednesday, in separate areas of Daraa and its countryside.
