Former opposition member, wife killed in Syria’s Daraa

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Late on Monday, anonymous gunmen assaulted the house of a former member of the Syrian opposition factions killing him and his wife in al-Sanamayn city in the northern countryside of Daraa, south Syria. 

Muhammed Jaber al-Etmeh, nicknamed ‘Saydalani’ and his wife identified as Hana’ al-Etmeh were critically injured after their house was targeted with handmade grenade dropped by unknown gunmen, local sources told North Press.

The two were transferred to the hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.

Al-Etmeh, who joined the opposition factions before, underwent a settlement process by the government  in 2018 and he joined no military formations afterwards.
