Government forces bomb opposition in Syria’s northwest

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – The de-escalation zones in northwest Syria witnessed on Saturday military escalation and exchange of shelling between the Syrian government forces and Turkish-backed opposition factions.

“The sites of the opposition factions in the towns  and the villages of al-Fatira, Kafr Aweed, Sufuhn, Kansafra, outskirts of Al-Bara, and Fleifel in Zawiya Mountain, south of Idlib. were hit with heavy artillery and missiles  by the government forces, ” opposition military sources told North Press.

The opposition factions’ sites in the villages and towns of Kafr Amma, Kafr Ta’al, Taqad and the outskirts of Kafr Noran, were bombed by the Syrian government forces in the 46th Regiment and the town of Miznaz in the western countryside of Aleppo, the sources added.

The military sites of the government forces  in the villages of al-Malajah and al-Dar al-Kabira in Zawiya Mountain, were hit with heavy artillery by al-Fateh al-Mubin, military sources told North Press.

Despite the armistice agreements between Russia and Turkey in the de-escalation zone in Idlib, the mutual bombardment continues between government and opposition forces on a daily basis.
