Civilian injured in Turkish shelling of Syria’s Manbij countryside

MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – A civilian was wounded on Monday in Turkish shelling with mortars targeting civilians’ homes in the village of al-Tokhar al-Kabir, 20 km north of Manbij, north Syria.

The Turkish forces indiscriminately targeted civilians’ homes with mortar shells, a source from the village of al-Tokhar al-Kabir told North Press.

The number of shells that hit the village reached 7, coming from the Turkish base overlooking the village of al-Tokhar al-Kabir, the sources said.

The Turkish-backed opposition factions targeted Aoun al-Dadat crossing area, 20 km north of Manbij, with sniper weapons, but no further information about material damage or casualties were reported.

On February 9, two women were injured of varying degrees in a Turkish bombardment of their house in the village of Arab Hassan, northwest of Manbij.
