DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Several points of the Syrian government forces south of Damascus were subjected yesterday to an Israeli missile attack.
The Syrian state news agency SANA stated the Israeli forces targeted a number of points in the vicinity of Zakiya town south of Damascus with several missiles causing material damage.
At about 11:35 PM, Israel targeted some points in the vicinity of Zakiya town with a number of ground-to-ground missiles fired from the southwest Syria’s Golan, SANA cited a military source as saying.
On February 9, Israel targeted early military sites in the vicinity of Damascus, one soldier was killed and five were wounded, in addition to material losses.
Israel periodically targets Iran-backed military militias in Syria.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights during 2021, counted 39 Israeli airstrikes targeted Iran-backed militias in Syria.
