Turkish forces shell villages in Syria’s Hasakah countryside
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces and the affiliated armed opposition factions bombed on Wednesday a village in the countryside of Abu Rasin town, north of Hasakah, northeast Syria.
North Press reported a local source as saying:” The hill of the village of Tel-Thiab, north Abu Rasin, was hit with a barrage of shells by Turkish forces and the opposition faction.”
A number of graves on the hill were destroyed in the Turkish shelling, the source added.
Two days ago, the same village plus the villages of Dada Abdal, al-Asadiya and al-Bobi in the countryside of Abu Rasin, were bombed by Turkish forces.
The villages of Chatali, Karbashak and Bir Kniss, in the western countryside of the city of Derbasiyah, were similarly bombed by Turkish forces. The bombardment came in tandem with the Turkish reconnaissance aircraft flying over the region.
Several houses in the aforementioned villages were damaged in the shelling, but no casualties were reported.
