Turkish forces shell villages north of Syria’s Hasakah
TEL-TAMR, Syria (North Press)-Turkish forces and the Turkish-backed armed factions bombarded on Monday the countryside of Zargan (Abu Rasin) and Derbasiya towns north of Hasakah, northeast Syria with heavy weapons.
The Turkish forces targeted the surrounding area of Dada Abdal, al-Asadya, al-Bubi and Tel Ziyab villages, north and west of the region, with a barrage of artillery shells, a security source told North Press.
A similar bombardment targeted the villages of Chatale, Kerbash, Birknes in the western countryside of Derbasiya, coincided with Turkish drones hovering over the area.
Several houses in the aforementioned villages were damaged in the shelling, but no causalities were reported.
The shelling also lead to the closure of the main road links between the towns of Zargan and Kasrah.
The area is witnessing an uneasy calm amid Turkish drones flights.
