More security procedures imposed on northeast Syria by Asayish

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, the Interior Board of the Autonomous Administration of the Jazira region issued a circular on taking precautionary security measures to complement the measures previously taken to maintain security and stability in the region of the Jazira in general and the city of Hasakah in particular.

The Jazira region is an administrative division that includes the areas of Hasakah, Qamishli, Derik and others, and affiliated with the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES).

According to Circular No. 2, it is prohibited to ride motorbikes, whether belonging to military members or civilians, within the city of Hasakah.

It also prohibited the entry and exit of motorcycles to and from Hasakah, starting from February 2 until further notice.

On January 23, the Interior Board imposed 7-day complete curfew on the city of Hasakah due to the escape of some detainees of the Islamic State (ISIS) from al-Sina’a prison in Guweiran neighborhood.

After days of fighting with ISIS members, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced that they had regained full control of the al-Sina’a prison and the surrender of all ISIS members to SDF.

Yesterday, the SDF announced in a press conference that it had arrested all detainees who escaped from the prison and they were transferred to other prisons.
