Government opens reconciliation center in Syria’s Aleppo
ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, the Syrian government forces opened a center to settle the status of the wanted and deserters from military service in the town of Maskana in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, north Syria.
The center will work for 15 days to settle the status of the deserters from military service and residents who had been maliciously reported, North Press reported a military source.
The residents do not trust the government forces, and the reconciliation that is taking place is merely media propaganda, a local resident from the town of Maskana, who preferred not to be named, told North Press.
“The government forces have to release the detainees, including my brother and relatives, who have been imprisoned by government forces for years,” he added.
Over the last period, the government forces have opened several reconciliation centers in several cities under their control, the last of which were in Daraa and Raqqa and today in the countryside of Aleppo.
