Turkish border guards kill a child in Syria’s Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, a child was shot dead by Turkish border guards (gendarmerie) on the Syrian-Turkish border west of Idlib, northwest Syria, while working on his farmland near the border.
The 13-year-old child Abdullah Khaled Skef, from the village of al-Dariyah in Darkoush district in the western countryside of Idlib, was deadly sniped by Turkish border guards on Sunday morning, local sources told North Press.
The child was shot in the chest, and attempts to rescue him by the residents failed, as he lost his life immediately as a result of his severe injury, the sources added.
Turkish gendarmerie killings of residents working on their farmland near the Syrian-Turkish border and others trying to cross the border to the Turkish side are repeated.
On December 20, 2021, the young man, Maher Ammar Barbash, was tortured to death by the Turkish border guards, while trying to cross into Turkish territory from Idlib.
