ISIS is responsible for ‘Cubs of the Caliphate’ inside al-Sina’a prison, SDF

QAMISLHI, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said the Islamic State (ISIS) bears responsibility if it inflicts any harm to the “Cubs of the Caliphate”.

The SDF released a statement saying “ISIS attacked al-Sina’a prison, during the last three days, aiming to control it and break out terrorist detainees out of the prison”.

“The big obstacle that hinders the advance of the SDF is that ISIS used terrorist children who are ‘Cubs of the Caliphate’ and amounts 700 minors in the prison, as human shields,” the statement added.

The children were detained in special dormitories inside the detention center in order to be rehabilitated and eradicate the extremist ideologies out of their mind, the statement added.

The statement stressed that the terrorist ISIS organization bears full responsibility for any harm the children could face.

The SDF appealed to the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to intervene to spare the children and prevent ISIS use them in military operations and surrender them to the security forces for their own safety.
