Government forces shell Syria’s Daraa leaving casualties

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Syrian government forces launched fierce artillery shelling yesterday evening on residential neighborhoods in the two towns of al-Harak and al-Maliha of Daraa eastern countryside, leaving casualties.

Several civilians, including eight children, were wounded in the shelling, local sources told North Press. All the wounded people were dispatched to the National Hospital in Busra al-Sham, Daraa eastern countryside.

The government shelling of the towns followed attacks by anonymous gunmen on the military zone (an area for maintenance of army vehicles) run by the Regiment 52 affiliated with the Syrian government forces on the outskirts of al-Harak.  Some soldiers of the government forces were reported injured then.
