Turkish-backed faction imposes royalties on shopkeepers in Syria’s Afrin

ALEPPO, NORTHERN COUNTRYSIDE, Syria (North Press) – Turkish-backed Syrian armed opposition factions imposed yesterday royalties on the shopkeepers in Afrin city, north Syria, on pretext of protecting them. 

The al-Jabha al-Shamiya (Levant Front) imposed 30 Turkish Liras monthly on each shop in Newroz Roundabout neighborhood on pretext of protecting them from thefts, North Press reported an exclusive source. 

It should be known that Turkish-backed opposition factions impose royalties on the areas run by them in Afrin under pretext of protecting them from thefts and looting.

Afrin and its countryside have been run by Turkey and the affiliated opposition factions since March 2018.
