Turkish drones bombard outskirts of Iraq’s Shangal

ERBIL, KRG, Iraq (North Press) – Turkish drones launched an attack near Shilo valley targeting two vehicles in Shangal (Sinjar), a security source of Shangal, west of the Iraqi Governorate Nineveh, on Friday.

The Turkish drones targeted two vehicles and set fire to them, a source told North Press.

A number of casualties were recorded, but the exact number and their identity have not been known so far, according to the source.

The Turkish attack coincided with the attack launched by the Islamic State Organization sleeper cells on al-Sina’a prison in Guweiran neighborhood in Hasakah city, north Syria.

The attack followed another attack by ISIS militants on an area in Diyala Governorate killing 11 Iraqi soldiers including an officer.
