Last coronavirus infected leaves Hospital in Syria’s Hasakah
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, the last person infected with coronavirus left Covid-19 Hospital in Hasakah, northeast Syria, after being recovered.
“Today, Ali Hilal Tu’ma, 80, a resident from Deir ez-Zor city, was discharged from the hospital after being recovered from the coronavirus,” Hozan Ismail, director of Covid-19 Hospital in Hasakah, told North Press.
“The infected person, who was admitted to the hospital 28 days ago, recovered and was discharged after he was tested negative,” he added.
The doctor indicated that northeast Syria may hit with a new wave of the virus at the beginning of next February, and that the sterilization team has begun working in the hospital preparing to receive the new one.
Some repair and maintenance work for the necessary equipment for the hospital was also done by the hospital staff.
According to the latest statistics recorded by the Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, the total number of coronavirus infections has reached 37,325 confirmed cases, including 1,521 deaths and 2,521 recoveries.
