Person killed by ISIS on dealing with SDF in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) claimed the kidnapping of a person, questioning him, and then killing him in a town east of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.
The Amaq News Agency, which is close to ISIS, published a statement, saying “ISIS militants kidnapped Ali al-Mahya, 49, and then beheaded him on charge of dealing with the Syrian Democratic Forces SDF.”
“My father left the house four days ago towards the city of Hajin, 110 km east of Deir ez-Zor, then we lost contact with him. Later, residents found him beheaded near al-Alloni desert in the adjacent al-Sha’fah town,” Muhammad Ali al-Mahya, the son of the killed man, from the town of al-Susa, 120 km east of Deir ez-Zor, said.
Al-Mahya worked as a taxi driver. The car was found near his body and it was completely burnt, according to his son.
Recently, the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor has been witnessing an increase in cases of killing of SDF members, employees of the Autonomous Administration, tribal dignitaries and the civilian population, most of which have been claimed by ISIS.
