Government forces’ member killed in north Syria’s Kobani
KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, a member of the Syrian government forces was killed by sniper fire of the Turkish forces in the border village of Qaramogh, 20 km east of Kobani, northern Syria.
A local source from the village told North Press that the member was killed while he was at his military point in the village of Qarahmogh after being targeted by Turkish forces snipers.
The member is called Jalal Kamel, 24, and he hails from Suwayda governorate, south Syria, the source said.
It is reported that the body of the member was transferred to the city of Aleppo through the al-Tayha crossing in the countryside of Manbij, to be transferred later to his hometown in the city of Suwayda.
On January 8, the village of Qarahmog was bombed by Turkish forces, and six people from one family were wounded, including a four-year-old child whose leg was amputated.
