Iraq’s forces arrest three ISIS members
ERBIL, KRG, Iraq (North press) – On Thursday, the Iraqi General Intelligence Directorate announced the arrest of three men who are members of the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) in the city of Kirkuk, eastern Iraq.
The General Intelligence Directorate released a statement saying that its branches in Kirkuk arrested the three members in the district of al-Rashad and in the city center of Kirkuk.
Judicial warrants were issued against the three ISIS members in accordance with the article of anti-terrorism in the Iraqi law.
One of the members worked as a “supplier” in al-Rashad district. He used to purchase foodstuff and other things and deliver them to other ISIS members in a host cell located in Wadi Zeghitoun (Valley).
The intrusion forces affiliated with the police of Kirkuk, the 5th Squadron and the National Security Detachment all have participated in the security sweep.
