HRO in Syria’s Aleppo condemns Turkish bombing of civilians in Kobani

ALEPPO NORTHERN COUNTRYSIDE, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, a local human rights organization in the northern countryside of Aleppo condemned the Turkish bombing of civilian-populated areas in the city of Kobani and its countryside in northern Syria.

Turkey’s aim at escalating its attacks on north Syria is to complete its expansion project in tandem with the approach of the fourth anniversary of the start of its attacks in 2018 against Afrin, the Human Rights Organization-Afrin said in a statement.

Turkey has been bombing civilian populated areas in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, the last of which was in Kobani two days ago, in which a civilian lost his life and dozens of others, including women and children, were injured.

The statement added that despite the many appeals to the international community, Turkey refuses to recognize international covenants and charters that urge all parties to the conflict to preserve the safety and lives of civilians.

The organization called on all human rights and humanitarian organizations in the world, the United Nations, UNICEF and the countries sponsoring Astana, especially Russia, to carry out their moral and legal duty regarding the violations of Turkey and the affiliated armed factions against the Syrians.
