Two people killed by unknown gunmen in Syria’s Daraa

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, two people were killed by unknown gunmen in the northern countryside of Daraa.

North Press Agency reported local sources saying “Muhammad Ahmad al-Labad, 44, from the city of Sanamayn and Ziyad Khero Zarqan, 52, from the town of Kafr Shams, were directly shot on the way linking Sanamayn city to the town of al-Qaniya in the eastern countryside of Daraa.”

“Unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle blocked their way and fired a hail of bullets at them,” the sources added.

The two men were seriously injured and transported to the National Hospital in the city of Sanamayn, but they died there, according to the sources.

“The two killed men were accused of dealing with the Military Security Branch of the government forces in Daraa,” said the sources.

It should be mentioned that since the government forces controlled Daraa governorate, hundreds of people have been killed, despite the deployment of military checkpoints on the roads linking the cities and towns of Daraa.

The residents accuse the government forces of being behind these operations, especially after the second settlement, which ended at the beginning of last November.
