Former opposition members killed, wounded in Syria’s Daraa
DARAA, Syria (North Press) – One person was killed and two others were wounded on Thursday by unknown gunmen in the eastern countryside of Daraa, southern Syria.
“Unidentified persons in the town of al-Maliha al-Gharbiya in the eastern countryside of Daraa killed Sarhan al-Haraki and seriously wounded Muhammad and Qutayba al-Haraki. The wounded were taken to Daraa National Hospital,” North Press reported a local source.
“The targeted were former members of the opposition factions and reconciled with the government after it took control of the Daraa in 2018. However, they did not join any military units of the government forces,” the source added.
Days ago, unidentified gunmen deadly shot two former members of the opposition factions in the western countryside of Daraa.
It should be mentioned that since the government forces controlled Daraa governorate, hundreds of people have been killed, despite the deployment of military checkpoints on the roads linking the cities and towns of Daraa.
