Anonymous persons kidnap settler child girl in Syria’s Afrin
ALEPPO NORTHERN COUNTRYSIDE, Syria (North Press) – An anonymous group of people kidnapped a settler little girl who is not from the indigenous people of Afrin region, northern Syria, amid worsening security situations in areas controlled by Turkish-backed Syrian opposition factions.
A group dressed in fatigue abducted a girl identified as Kawkab Ali in the central of Jindires district, west of Afrin a local source told North Press.
The girl’s family are still searching in headquarters of the factions in control of Jindires district but the kidnappers have yet to be determined, the source added.
Insecurity, abductions, and arrests prevail in the region amid failure of the factions to police it.
Turkish forces and their affiliated Syria opposition factions, most notably Ahrar al-Sham, Sultan Suleiman Shah, Ahrar al-Sharqiya, and Faylaq al-Sham control Jinderes district.
The city of Afrin and its villages, north of Aleppo, have been controlled by Turkish forces and the affiliated factions since March 2018.
Since 2018, the region has been witnessing ongoing security chaos accompanied by infighting among militants of the Turkish-backed factions, arrests, and kidnappings amid the factions’ disability to settle the security and spread safety.
