Two former opposition members killed in Syria’s Daraa

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Unidentified gunmen deadly shot two former members of the opposition factions on Monday in the western countryside of Daraa, south Syria.

The two young men, Muhammad Ali al-Bardan, known as Abu Ali Doshka and Ahmad Trad al-Oda, were killed by unknown gunmen near the town of Adwan in the western countryside of Daraa, local sources said.

According to the sources, al-Bardan came from the city of Tafas in the western countryside of Daraa, while al-Oda from the town of al-Muzera’, west of Daraa.

The two killed men had joined the opposition factions before the government forces took control of Daraa in 2018.

“The two young men did not join the military formations affiliated with the government forces after the reconciliation with the government, but they often accompanied the members of the Central Committee while traveling within the cities and towns of Daraa,” the sources said.

It should be mentioned that since the government forces controlled Daraa governorate, hundreds of people have been killed, despite the deployment of military checkpoints on the roads linking the cities and towns of Daraa.
