Joint Turkish-Russian patrol in Syria’s Kobani abolished
KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, the Russian Military Police cancelled a joint patrol with Turkey scheduled to be conducted in the western countryside of Kobani, north Syria.
Kobani residents blocked the road in front of the patrol protesting the attack carried out by a Turkish drone in the city of Kobani in late December.
Questioned by North Press correspondent regarding the reason behind cancelling the joint patrol, the Russian commander gave no reply.
On December 25, 2021, a Turkish drone attacked a house in Kobani city led to casualties among civilians.
Two days later, the residents of the eastern countryside of Kobani intercepted a joint Russian-Turkish patrol and hurled stones on the Turkish and Russian tanks.
