Four Syrians die of suffocation in Lebanon

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, four Syrians of one family died of suffocation in Sidon countryside, south Lebanon.

Four Syrians of the same family died of suffocation in their house due to smoke of activated carbon that they were burning to get warm, Social Media Management Agency in Lebanon, said.

The Syrians are Anoud Hassan Hamdan , Abdullah Maher al-Abdulla, Maram Maher al-Abdulla and Rawan Maher al-Abdulla, according to activists.

In late December, a Syrian man and his wife died because their room where they lived was set on fire in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley.

59% of the Syrian refugees in Lebanon live in rented houses, 17% live in unofficial camps ,13% in uncompleted buildings, and 6% of them live in shops, according to official statics.

According to UNCHR, Lebanon hosts about one million Syrian refugees, while the Lebanon government say they are more than one and half million.
