Turkey resumes bombing Syria’s Hasakah countryside

TEL TAMR, Syria (North Press) – The Turkish forces and the affiliated armed opposition factions bombed the town of Abu Rasin, north of Hasakah, northeast Syria, with artillery on Saturday.

The Turkish forces bombed the center of the town of Abu Rasin and the villages of al-Asadiya and Khadrawi in its northern countryside with a barrage of artillery shells, a local source told North Press.

The municipality center in the town was hit by several shells, which resulted in material damage in the place, the source added.

The residents of the town fled towards the safe surrounding villages to escape the Turkish bombardment, according to the source.

The town of Abu Rasin was violently bombed by the Turkish forces and the opposition factions on December 21. Many civilians, including women and children, were killed and injured thus.

Most of the villages on the contact lines with the Turkish forces in the countryside of Tel Tamr, north of Hasakah, have become empty of residents due to the continuous bombardment.
