SDF arrests ISIS suspects in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested three wanted men on charges of belonging to the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) in a town east of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.
The SDF raided several neighborhoods in the town of Diban and arrested three wanted men on charges of belonging to ISIS, a military source of the SDF in the town of Diban, 50 km east of Deir ez-Zor, told North Press.
The source added that individual weapons were found in their possession.
The arrest comes after the increase in the recent operations carried out by ISIS which targeted members of the SDF, tribal dignitaries and civilians, according to the source.
Two days ago, the forces of the Hajin Military Council thwarted an attack on its patrol and killed a gunman in the town of al-Jarzi, east of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.
