Two children injured due to ISIS war remnants in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Two sister girls were injured on Wednesday in the explosion of a projectile left behind by the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) in a town east of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.

“Two little sister girls were injured in the explosion of a projectile left behind by ISIS in the Rahbein neighborhood in the center of the town,” Rashid Salamah, a resident of the town of al-Baghouz, 130 km east of Deir ez-Zor, told North Press.

“The two girls were transported to the Hamzah Hospital in the city of Hajin, 110 km east of Deir ez-Zor. One of the two sisters is in a serious condition while the other’s condition is good,” according to the director of the Hamzah Hospital.

The areas of the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor have recorded large numbers of casualties among the population, in particular children, due to the remnants of the war, which wildly spreads in the region.

On October 14, a child lost his life in a land explosion left by ISIS while grazing sheep on the outskirts of Hariza village of al-Sabha town in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
