Turkish assaults undermine stability efforts in northeast Syria, Mazloum Abdi

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Turkish attacks undermine stability efforts in northeast Syria, theSyrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Commander-in-Chief Mazloum Abdi said on Monday.

“The United Nations should fulfill its duties and end the policy of intimidation practiced by Turkey against the vulnerable civilians,” Mazloum Abdi tweeted.

“The Turkish airstrike, which targeted 9 people of Youth Organization in a house in Kobani city and led to the martyrdom of five members, is a continuation of the occupational behavior by Turkey in dealing with the Kurdish issue in Syria,” the tweet said.

“That air strike targets security and safety in northeast Syria,” the tweet added.

Abdi stressed the necessity for the UN to fulfill its duties and stop the intimidation policy practiced by the Turkish forces against the vulnerable civilians and end hostilities that sabotage stability efforts.

On December 25, a Turkish drone attacked a house in Kobani city which led to several casualties.
