Pope Francis asks world to be open to dialogue

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Pope of the Vatican urged world leaders to be open to dialogue to resolve the conflicts, crises and disagreements in Syria, Yemen, Iraq and other regions of the world.

“Syria, Iraq and Yemen where an enormous tragedy overlooked by everyone has silently gone on for years,” the Pope said in his annual Christmas Day message.

He stressed that the conflicts in those countries had left many victims and countless refugees.

Thousands of Catholic watched in St Peter’s Square at the Vatican as the Pope delivered his speech stressing the importance of social ties, “to stop making an effort to encounter others and do things together”.
