Syria’s Autonomous Administration comments on Turkish drone attack on Kobani
KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – A Turkish drone targeted a house in the city of Kobani, killing two civilians and injuring seven others, the Media Office of the Executive Council in the Euphrates Region, northern Syria said in a statement.
The Euphrates Region is an administrative division affiliated with the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) that includes the areas of Kobani, Raqqa and Tel abyad in northern Syria.
“This targeting is part of a series of terrorist offensives carried out by the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries, in light of the silence of the guarantor countries of the ceasefire,” the statement said.
“We hold the Global Coalition and the Russian Federation accountable for the Turkish offensive on the regions of northeast Syria,” it added.
Earlier today, two civilians lost their lives and seven others were injured by a Turkish drone attack on a house in Kobani.
“A Turkish drone targeted a house of a civilian in the city of Kobani, and that the wounded were in a critical condition,” the co-chair of the Interior Board in the Euphrates region, Bozan Khalil, had earlier told North Press.
