Turkish forces renew shelling of Syria’s north of Hasakah

ABU RASIN, Syria (North Press) – On Friday evening, the Turkish forces and the Turkish-backed armed factions renewed the bombardment of Abu Rasin countryside, north of Hasakah, northeast Syria.

The Turkish forces targeted the village of al-Khadrawi, in the northern countryside of Abu Rasin, with artillery shells, a source told North Press.

Meanwhile, no material or human losses were reported in the Turkish shelling, according to the source.

The Turkish renewal bombardment came two days after witnessing calm on the frontlines in the villages of Tel Tamr and Abu Rasin towns, north of Hasakah.

Earlier on Friday, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) revealed in a statement the casualties and wounded toll of the Turkish shelling that had continued on December 21 and 22.

“Due to the ongoing Turkish shelling, four civilians were killed and more than 14 were wounded, meanwhile three Syrian government soldiers were wounded,” the statement added.
