Frontlines of Syria’s north of Hasakah witness uneasy calm

TEL TAMR, Syria (North Press) – Today, Friday, the frontlines in the countryside of the towns of Tel Tamr and Abu Rasin (Zargan), north of Hasakah, northeast Syria, are witnessing uneasy calm following an intensive attack with heavy weapons by the Turkish forces resulting in civil casualties.

The town of Abu Rasin has been witnessing a state of calm since yesterday morning following a hot night the residents witnessed due to the Turkish shelling, local sources told North Press.

The center of the town witnessed an almost normal move after the Turkish shelling, on Tuesday, that destroyed the civilians’ houses in the western neighborhoods forcing residents to flee towards the eastern neighborhoods.

The Turkish aggression on Abu Rasin town and its villages claimed lives of four people and wounded more than 14 others including three children of the same family.

Additionally, three Syrian government soldiers were wounded in the Turkish shelling, according to a statement by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on Friday.

On Wednesday, the Turkish forces and the Turkish-backed armed factions artillery shelled the village of Umm al-Keif and the surrounding area.

Since yesterday morning, the frontlines in the aforementioned areas have been witnessing an uneasy calm.
