Opposition factions kill civilian in Syria’s Manbij

MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, the Turkish-backed armed opposition factions killed a civilian in a farm, northwest of Manbij, northern Syria.

The 27-year old young man, Fawaz al-Husseino, from Manbij, lost his life on the line separating the two areas controlled by the Manbij Military Council (affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces) and the Turkish-backed factions, a local source said.

The young man was trying to cross from the areas run by the Military Council to the areas of the Turkish-backed factions, intending to go to Turkey for work, according to the source.

The opposition factions, however, shot him, and he was seriously injured and transported to Manbij hospitals, but he died there, the source added.

On December 10, a person was injured in the foot as a result of a Turkish bombardment targeting al-Darat farm, north of Manbij.
