Two civilians injured by Turkish shelling on Syria’s Hasakah villages

TEL TAMR, Syria (North Press) – Two civilians were injured on Wednesday by the Turkish bombardment on the villages in northern countryside of Hasakah, northeast Syria.

The Turkish forces and the affiliated opposition factions re-bombed the villages of Dada Abdal and Tel al-Ward in the countryside of Abu Rasin town, injuring a man and a woman.

North Press reported an informed source as saying, the Turkish forces bombed the villages of Umm Harmala, Dada Abdal, Tel al-Ward, Khadrawi, Rabi’at and Banja in the countryside of Abu Rasin, north of Hasakah, with mortars and artillery shells. 

On Wednesday, the vicinity of Umm al-Keif village, west of the town of Tel Tamr, was also shelled by Turkish forces, after the forces of the Tel Tamr Military Council, affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), thwarted an attack on the same village this morning.

Earlier today, The SDF said that they managed to foil three attempts by Turkey and the opposition factions to advance towards the farms that surround Umm al-Keif village.

Yesterday, the Turkish forces, stationed in the villages of Bab al-Khair and al-Dawodiya, bombed several villages in the countryside of Tel Tamr, including Rabi’at, al-Asadiya, Meharmleh, Tel al-Ward, Mazra and Tel Amir, North Press reported a security source in the town of Abu Rasin. Hundreds left their villages and homes fleeing the bombing.
