Turkey re-bombs Syria’s Hasakah countryside
TEL TAMR, Syria (North Press) – Turkey and the affiliated opposition factions renewed bombing the countryside of Tel-Tamr town, north of Hasakah, northeast Syria on Tuesday.
The Assyrian villages of Tel-Shnan and Tel-Tawila were shelled by the Turkish forces, North Press reported a source of the Tel-Tamr Military Council.
No casualties or material damage was reported amid cautions calm the areas is witnessing.
The Turkish bombardment came hours after bombing the villages of Tel-Karabit, Tel Jum’a and Umm al-Keif in the countryside of Tel Tamr, which caused damage to the residents’ property and wounded two of the government forces’ members.
Earlier this evening, three people lost lives and four people, including three children brothers, were injured in the Turkish shelling on the villages of Rabi’at, al-Asadiya, Meharmleh, Tel al-Ward, Mazra and Tel Amir.
The countryside of Tel Tamr includes about 33 Assyrian villages, five of which were almost fully emptied due to ISIS attacks and their location on the frontlines with the Turkish forces, according to the residents.
Most of the villages on the contact lines with the Turkish forces in the countryside of Tel Tamr, north of Hasakah, have become empty of residents due to the continuous bombardment.
