Turkey bombards villages of Syria’s Hasakah, hundreds displaced

TEL TAMR, Syria (North Press) – The Turkish forces and the affiliated armed opposition factions bombed the towns of Tel Tamr and Abu Rasin, north of Hasakah, northeast Syria, with dozens of missiles and artillery shells, leaving casualties.

The Turkish forces, stationed in the villages of Bab al-Khair and al-Dawodiya, bombed several villages in the countryside of Tel Tamr, including Rabi’at, al-Asadiya, Meharmleh, Tel al-Ward, Mazra and Tel Amir, North Press reported a security source in the town of Abu Rasin.

Three people were killed and four people, including three children brothers, were injured in the shelling, according to the source who added that the injured were transported to the hospitals in the area for treatment.

In a related context, two members of the government forces were also injured, as a result of the intense shelling of the Turkish forces on the countryside of Abu Rasin town.

In addition to the casualties, the bombing caused damage to the residents’ property and hundreds left their villages towards the safe areas.

Furthermore, the Assyrian villages of Tel Juma, Tel Karabet and Umm al-Keif in the countryside of Tel Tamr town were also bombed by the Turkish forces and the affiliated opposition factions, resulting in material damage to civilian property.

The Turkish bombardment continues, albeit sporadically, on the countryside of the two towns, until now.
