QAMISHLI/DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Syria preserved its rank on the bottom of Human Freedom Index 2021, according to a study by CATO AT LIBERTY ranking 165 the last grade in the list.
For the fourth successive year, Syria is the first, according to the study, among the Arab countries on the list of high crime rates and lack of insecurity.
The rate of freedom in Syria has not changed since 2017, according to the study.
The list of the global index issued by the Canadian research institution Cato is one of the most comprehensive and integrated lists, and at high degree of credibility.
Meanwhile, Syria ranked third in the classification of the most fragile countries around the world, according to the annual classification of the American non-governmental organization “The Fund for Peace” for this year.
In 2020, Syria ranked second in the list of the global impunity index, according to a study issued by the Committee to Protect Journalists.
Meanwhile, Damascus was the second with the highest crime rate in Asian countries after Kabul in Afghanistan.
Venezuela topped the most dangerous countries in the world, followed by New Guinea, South Africa, Afghanistan, Honduras, Trinidad and Tobago, El Salvador, Guyana, Syria and Brazil.
