Sudanese delegation discusses Arab role to solve Syrian crisis with AANES

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, a delegation from the Sudanese embassy in Damascus met representatives of the Foreign Relations Department of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) in Qamishli city, northeast Syria.

Finding a solution to the Syrian crisis headed discussions between the two parties.

Economic and political issues were also handled during the meeting.

The Sudanese delegation included Acting Chargé d’Affairs of the Sudanese embassy Tariq Abdullah, the advisor Imadudin Ahmad, and the administrative director Muhammad Sediq.

The AANES representatives included Fanar al-Ge’eit, deputy co-chair of the Foreign Relations Department and Sana’ Daham, member of the administrative board.

“We are all hope there will be efforts by the Arab countries to contribute to find a real solution to the Syrian crisis and weaken, by that, roles of some regional countries like Turkey and Iran which had a negative role in deepening the crisis of Syria instead of solving it,” Fanar al-Ge’eit said.

The two parties also discussed the humanitarian conditions in the Autonomous Administration areas and the files of refugees and the IDPs plus the mechanisms to adopt to take them back to their original areas.

“There is much danger in keeping women and children in camps like Hawl and Roj,” al-Ge’eit said explaining they are raised on the ideology of terrorism which can help the Islamic State (ISIS) to resurge.

The Sudanese delegation and the AANES representative stressed the international community should bear its humanitarian duties towards its citizens and support the AANES to improve the situations in the camps and detention centers.
